How does a hand-crafted or artisan business stand out from today’s saturated sea of slick logos and promotional material? Go uniquely rustic and hand-drawn! The TreeSpace Studio would like to help craft or redesign a professional image and brand for your emerging small business that truly reflects the unusual qualities and artistry behind your creations. However, we understand that branding packages are expensive and not always within the price range of the new kid on the block!

The TreeSpace Studio’s Illustrated Friday Design Charette was formed so that we can offer an opportunity for folks to submit a business design dilemma and win an entry for full-color sketch ideas. This will help you kick-start your little biz and qualify you for a special rate if you do decide to commission us for the final project!

Here’s how it works:

1. Starting a new business or want to re-brand and existing one to better reflect your work? New logos, labels, stationery, packaging or websites/blogs? Tired of commonplace slick commercial logos that don’t stand out?

2. Click on the button at the bottom of this page that says “Submit for Illustrated Friday’s Design Charette”

3. Fill in your small biz design challenge and click SUBMIT!

4. One interesting and unique entry will be picked on a charette week (usually once every two weeks) and you will be emailed if yours will be featured on a particular Friday.

5. Come that Friday, there will be a quick illustration, a series of sketches or vignettes accompanied by a write-up to help you brand your business in a way that uniquely reflects your work.

6. That’s it! Simple, no obligations on your part, just a fun design and thinking-outside-the-box exercise! Charette Policies:

We hope that you will use your winning design entry to kick-start the planning of your business or brainstorm new products, however we retain Creative Commons license (see here for specific type), and while you may print or publish your winning sketches with linked credits, official business use of the winning sketches on legal and promotional material, online or offline, is not allowed before an actual purchase is made. The good news is that, as entry winner you will receive 30% off the commissioned price.
